In addition, he has contributed articles to The Gale Encyclopedia of Mental Health.

Elias K. Shaya, MD (Baltimore, MD), is chief of psychiatry at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, and is an instructor at the Johns Hopkins University. He earned his MD degree at the American University of Beirut School of Medicine and is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology for General and Geriatric Psychiatry. He has been published in several medical publications, including the American Journal of Psychiatry. He is a regular lecturer, consultant, and speakers' bureau member for several pharmaceutical companies.
